This pressing is called “Cowgirl Rustic“ because it has design elements that mimic hand tooled leather designs commonly found on western saddlery and other items like western belts and boots.

Here a tutorial for making a bracelet, pendant, and earrings with this pattern pressing.

This beautiful pressing allows you to make a wide cuff bracelet or you can cut it in half to make two narrower cuff bracelets. You can also use it for pendants, earrings, or backgrounds.

Making a cuff bracelet with this pressing:

For making a cuff bracelet simply cut around the outside of the pattern with a guillotine shear or jeweler’s saw. Use a file to smooth the edges and round the corners.

Then apply Liver of Sulfur or your choice of patina (following the manufacturer’s instructions) to accentuate the beautiful scroll pattern. After applying a patina or darkening agent, use 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper to lightly sand the raised scrollwork to highlight the details.

Form the bracelet on a bracelet forming mandrel.

Finish by tumbling in a rotary tumbler with stainless steel shot, a little water, and a drop or two of Dawn dishwashing liquid or hand polish with a Sunshine polishing cloth.

  • Our patterned sheets come unfinished and might have a slight curve due to the rolling process. They usually also have a slight margin around the edges which is also a result of the rolling process.
